Haiku Poems

Today we have been learning how to write Haiku poems. We did one about the thunder because we could hear it outside. For Haiku poems you have to have 5 syllables on the first and last line. You also need to have 7 syllables in the middle. So in total you need 3 lines.

    The lightning was loud and I tried to explain it in my Haiku poem.

    For the haiku poem I wrote everyone got scared!!! It is coming in fast. Thunder and lighting.

    I really liked making a haiku poem, they were hard. When I looked out the window I saw a BIG lightning bolt and I heard a big bang too. I was so scared it was very loud.
