River and Waimarie Museum Visit
On Monday we walked down to the river. We had our lunch sitting under the trees with a great view of the river. Our challenge after lunch, in pairs was to take a landscape photo using an iPad. Lots of us took photos of the Durie Hill Tower, Waimarie and the river. We wondered who the winner would be? Our visit to the Waimarie Museum was amazing. The information and knowledge we learnt from the wonderful people at the museum was helpful to our inquiry we are doing back at school.

Community Walk
This week we went on a walk around our neighbourhood. We looked at lots of different communities we have around us. In writing we have been learning about personification (giving objects a human quality). So while on our walk we looked for objects we could personify. Some examples are ... The phone booth standing waiting for a call. The grass was dancing in the wind with its friends.
