Our Ancestors Journey

We have been working hard decorating and building our Wharenui.  We had to research who our ancestors were and what country they came from.  This helped us to have our Wharenui represent who we are.  We think they look fantastic now we have put them all together.

Social Dancing

This week Year 5 and 6 students started social dancing. Mr and Mrs Stewart are teaching us lots of different dances. The Year 5's are picking up the dance moves quickly and the Year 6's are remembering the steps from last year. We are looking forward to our social dance in a few weeks.

Swimming

We are all loving being back in our pool. We swim twice a week and been having lots of on the inflatable toys, diving for sinking quoits and getting Mrs Palmer wet!

Constructing A Whare

We have been learning about the different parts of a whare.  We have learnt that they can represent parts of the body and have been learning what they are called.  As a class we constructed a small wooden whare.
