Easter Challenge!

Today for our BP Technology Challenge, the boys had to construct something that could hold a tennis ball and was Easter themed. Here are a few of the great ideas that came out. I wonder if they will get filled? I hope the Easter Bunny visits. I love chocolate!

Buddy Art

Today we went back to Room 12 for more buddy art. The students in Room 12 have been working really hard and some managed to finish their continuous line drawings today. Check out what they can do.

Striving For Accuracy and Precision

This week I have seen Isaiah striving for accuracy and precision. He has been listing carefully when we have been learning about book covers and has taken everything in. He created a new book cover for the picture book I read out. He tried very hard and I feel did the best job! Well done Isaiah. Keep it up.

Scribble Pictures

Today we started making scribble pictures to be the background for our senses poem. I think they looks great. Watch this space to see how they look when they all come together.

Senses Poem

Today we looked more closely at our second Habit Of Mind for this term Gathering data through all senses. We discussed how we learn best when we use all of our senses. We decided to write senses poems. We choose either a colour or emotion and wrote what we thought it smelt like, looked like, tasted like, felt like and sounded like. Check out the ones below. I think they are great!

Be Funky

We have been having fun exploring a website called Be Funky. In Be Funky you can upload a photo and play around with them. Everyone has made 4 photos and then put them into word to create an awesome piece of artwork. Watch this space to see the final products. Look at the cool effects some of the boys have added to their photos.

Striving for Accuracy and Precision

This week it has been Joshua striving for accuracy and precision with his maths. He tried really hard to master his walt, using doubles to solve addition problems. Good job Joshua!
