Well I thought I would make a few updates over the holidays so our blog doesn't look so empty. So here are a few photos. The other night I went for a drive around to have a look at the houses with the Christmas lights. The photos turned out okay. Don't the houses look cool!

Water Fight!
Today the whole school went out onto the field for a massive water fight. It was so much fun. Mr Petersen got smoked again!
Perserverance Cup
Today William received the Perseverance Cup for always trying hard. You deserve it William. Keep up the hard work!
Road Patrol Monitors
Today our Road Patrol Monitors were recognise for the hard work they have put in all year. Well done team.

Senior Social
Well tonight we had the Yr 5/6 social. We have spent the past 3 weeks at school learning the dances. Tonight we got our groove on. All of the girls looked beautiful and the boys looked like men. Very handsome! Check it out.
Race Day!
Well today was the day. All the hard work finally paid off. We had some winners, some loser and 2 broken cars. Congratulations Dean for having the fastest car in Room 14. He won all of his races. But the real victory was when Mrs Larsen's car whipped Mr Petersen's. Thanks Jahzia for the loan of the wheels :)

CO2 Cars
Over the past week we have been cutting, sanding and painting and trying to dry our cars. Tomorrow we are adding the wheels and racing them its going to be awesome!

Building our CO2 cars
Today we started work on our CO2 cars. We used lots of different tools to shape and sand our cars. Their has been a lot of fun trash talk to. I can't wait to see who wins. Hopefully it's not Mr Petersen.

Merit Certificate
Today our whole class received a merit certificate for their excellent effort with the paper recycling. Way to go boys!
School Spirt Day
Today we had another School Spirit Day. It was crepe paper day. We had 1 hour to create an outfit to wear for our school parade. We had a bride, ninja warriors, wizards and superheros. We looked fantastic!

Air Resistance
Today we learnt more about air resisitance. We experimented by seeing which shapes moved the fastest through water, that way we could find out which shapes were areodynamic. We discovered an oval shapes is the best and any shapes with flat surfaces will cause more fluid friction and slow our CO2 car down. I wonder how people will design their car now.

It's not a box!
Today when we went to Room 12 they were all sitting in their 'it's not a box'. They looked so cute. After we finished our art some of us used our imginations and sat in their 'it's not a box'. Check out David in his hot air balloon basket.
Buddy Art
Today we went to Room 12 for buddy art. We worked with them on creating hot air ballons. They came up with some great designs. Next week we are going to dye them.
