In class we have been learning all about expositions. We are currently working on answering the question "Should we behave like swine, are manners important when we dine?" Before we started to write we discussed some of the rules we have. One rules that lots of people have is, you are not allowed to put your elbows on the table. But why? No one knew why. So that is our challenge...
Why are we not allowed to put our elbows on the table when we are eating?
Hi
ReplyDeleteInteresting challenge!
I think it might be because in the olden days people sat squashed up on benches to eat and the only place for elbows might have been in their neighbours plate!

My Nana always told me that I would pull the table cloth off the table with my elbows. That's why we weren't allowed our elbows on the table!
