Pepeha

In class we have been learning about who discovered Aotearoa and when people first arrived so we decided we should learn about our own families. We used this information to create a Pepeha. We made a game in Gamefroot to share our Pepeha.

This is Te Huatahi's Game.

Calendar Art

For our calendar art we based it on the art work by the artist Kadinsky who likes to use circles. We think they look amazing and would be great as a calendar, on a diary or on a card. Please contact the school or our classroom teacher to order any of the calendar artwork.
Calendars are $18, a diary is $18 and 8 cards for $15.

Types of Lines

During our geometry maths lessons we have been learning about different types of lines. We made lines using ice block sticks and took photos of them. After using Google Drawing we made posters to teach others about them. Here are some of them.

Active Learning

We have finished our first round of Active Learning. The class was split into 4 groups. Each group had a different focus. One group has been busy sewing together bags for their headphones. Another group learnt all about bugs and created some pretty amazing bug houses. The third group developed their woodwork skills and constructed a framed blackboard. The last group had a go at playing minigolf, then designed their own. They then worked together to create the winning design. It has been so much fun. We all cant wait till the next round.
